Six of us went for dinner to Le Cordon because I had read some nice reviews about it on line. The reviews were right! The food was excellent and the... read more service friendly. Two of us had the oven baked pizza that everyone raves about on line. One pizza was just a plain cheese pizza and the other one was a shrimp pizza and boy was that pizza ever loaded down with shrimp! Pretty impressive! The crust was thin and crisp on both of them and the sauce on the pizza was plentiful and delicious. Two of us had the ribs because, again, reviews said they were amazing and they were. They were meaty, juicy, saucy and fall-off-the-bone tender. They were accompanied by excellent fries and delicious coleslaw. Someone in our group had the lasagne, again, an excellent choice and someone else had penne in a delicious, thick marinara sauce. Sadly we were too full for dessert because our waitress, Nathalie, informed us that all desserts were homemade and delicious. We’ll just have to leave room for dessert on our next visit.

mai 19, 2019Le Cordon is in a working class area and is very crowed Monday to Friday at lunch and any night there is a hockey game. The food is not fancy... read more but very good. The servers have been there for many years and are very friendly. The pizza is one of their specialties as they have a wood fired pizza oven; better go before the city bans wood ovens. I have eaten there many times and the food and service was always good.

décembre 11, 2018Bad experience on a Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm. It smelled of cigarette smoke as we walked in. The painting over our table had white dust on the dark frame. In... read more front of the wood burning stove, we watched a girl prepare our pizzas while she was fiddling with her hair, then the chef, without his apron, pitched in to help her without having washed his hands. My daughter remarked that her margarita pizza had dried basil on it and not fresh basil. The waitress brought our soda pop drinks in open cans with a straw in it. After requesting glasses, my glass had lipstick marks on it. My vegetables were lukewarm, but the shrimp was good. For 3 soda pop cans, 2 pizzas & a butterfly shrimp plate, it cost us $70, tax & tip included for 3 people. The service was quick but next time we want fast food, we're going to a franchise. I will no longer be listening to Mike Cohen's recommendations from newspaper articles from The Suburban
